Conscious Execution: Productivity with Purpose
(with Charlie Gilkey)
Too often, we get to the end of a week or month and realize that the boxes we’ve checked aren’t the ones that get us where our souls yearn to be. Conscious execution is the practice of getting our purpose, priorities, and goals on our schedules and in our day-to-day decisions. Hint: If you’re trying to hack or shortcut your way to conscious execution, that’s part of the problem. This keynote can be framed for audiences of creators, teams, or leaders equally well. Same problems, different contexts.
Team Habits: The Surprisingly Simple Key to Better Team Performance and Belonging that Sticks
(with Charlie Gilkey)
The common approach to improving team performance and belonging is to focus on individuals -- and that’s the problem. More important than the individuals in your team are the team habits they practice to get things done. Your team doesn’t rise to its level of potential; it falls to the level of its habits. Since everyone participates in their team’s habits, everyone can influence and change them.
How To Focus Your Team on Finishing
(with Charlie Gilkey)
Slow progress and unfinished projects seem to be the norm for many teams, as is the exasperation many leaders feel about this status quo. The hard-to-hear truth is that projects are stalled or unfinished because leaders unconsciously put up roadblocks that keep people from finishing. As long as it’s safer and easier for them to keep working on something rather than finishing it, they are going to keep it in progress.
Rooted Leadership: How to Cultivate
the Leaders You Already Have
(with Angela Wheeler)
Despite an estimated $166 billion spent annually on leadership development programs in the US, many organizations find that they still have too few people ready for leadership positions. The problem is that they’re trying to create leaders rather than cultivate the leadership potential their organization already has. When an organization cultivates rooted leaders — leaders rooted in their unique gifts, purpose, and lived experiences — they create organizations with better performance, higher belonging, and a deeper well of leaders to draw from.
Radical Permission: The Key to Overcoming Overwhelm and Living On Purpose
(with Angela Wheeler)
Every woman knows she needs more time to focus on her dreams and desires. Too often, the suggestions they hear for doing this fall flat because those suggestions don’t address the root problems that keep women over-busy, overloaded, and over-cooked. The key to overcoming overwhelm and living on purpose comes down to learning how to give yourself radical permission to be rather than being in a constant state of doing.
Team Habits Sprint
Our signature engagement is designed to increase clarity, alignment, and conscious execution in a team by focusing on improving the team’s habits. Prior to their team taking our proprietary Team Habits Assessment, Charlie will have a discovery session with the org/team champion to get a view of the strategic priorities we want to pursue. After the team takes the Team Habits Assessment, Charlie will co-create a sprint roadmap with the team champion that will focus on the key team habit that will make the biggest difference for belonging and performance. Charlie will then advise the champion and team on how to execute the roadmap.
This engagement can be a mix of planned in-person and virtual meetings, with some flexibility for on-demand sessions (in-person or virtual).
Team Habits Assessment
In this standalone engagement, our team will issue our proprietary Team Habits Assessment to your team. After we get the results, Charlie will debrief the client or change champion about results and suggest courses of action to take from the assessment.
Team Strategy Execution Engagements
Charlie will work with the executive and their team to create a strategic roadmap and then use coaching, facilitation, and advising modalities to help the team execute the strategy. The goal is to increase the team’s capabilities to develop and execute against strategic priorities without the executive having to remain in the driver’s seat. Most teams choose to engage Charlie to facilitate their strategic planning session, run quarterly leadership meetings, and provide executive coaching to key members of their team.
This engagement can be a mix of planned in-person and virtual meetings, with some flexibility for on-demand sessions (in-person or virtual).
